Absolutely ridiculous take. Scottie is still winning majors where these guys are all playing together.

1. I agree in the sense that most of those golfers were there.
2. I think LIV affected these guys in some way. Idk if it was the massive money payday or being off tour but some of these guys had their career trajectory knocked down.

And honestly I don’t get the impression that Scottie was the biggest fan of it either.

Scottie is the most mature person in almost every room he walks in. Of course he thought it was poor taste. He gave nothing but praise to Fitzy afterwards and didn’t make any excuses.

Two true good guys in golf.

True... I mean, it's a retarded take, but it IS a take.

Fastest player on tour and outspoken about slow play

What majors has he won that the LIV guys weren't playing in?

Masters Tournament wins: 2022 (D. Johnson 12th here), 2024 (DeChambeau was 6th, Hatton was 9th)
PGA Championship: 2025 (DeChambeau was 2nd here, Rahm 8th, )
The Open Championship: 2025 (DeChambeau was 10th here, Hatton 16th, Rahm 34th)

Who is it that he hasn't faced? I'll hang up and listen.

He started to get slow and it was making him worse.

That 5 minute 9 iron layup discussion was something.

Still like the dude a lot, he was all class post round. Those losers don’t bother him at all.

This dude is one of those new covid casual bros that hates any decent golfer that isn't American.

No appreciation for the game or history. Just kick arse Limp Bizkit loud tunes on the course with a cooler full of High Noons and Riggs baby.

Man I hate to be this guy, but I really don’t understand how you or anyone else for that matter can say stuff like this..

Seriously… how do you know how much work he puts in behind the scenes when there’s no cameras around? Same for all the other golfers. How do you know how much time everyone’s putting in when they’re not in tournaments?

It’s almost like people just develop a narrative in their heads and then say whatever they feel like they need to say to convince themselves that their cliche is true - because there’s no way that any random fan has the right info to make those claims

I'm probably fumbling some of the numbers but he went from being one of the last guys on tour in total distance and ball speed off the tee to far above the tour average over the course of the last 4-5 years.

He was also approaching outside of the top 100 in OGWR last year and turned it around to make the Ryder Cup in the same season.

Feel like it's pretty safe to say the dude works his arse off and is one of the least gifted top players.

Just look at the dude in comparison to Rory, Aberg, Scottie, Cam etc.

He probably looked across the dinner table and realized if he didn’t improve his game he wouldn’t be hitting that, anymore.

They are extremely rowdy. Crowd looks flush with 25-35 year old drunk white dudes

This year was our fourth straight year going down. It’s a fantastic crowd. Skews young and wealthy, tons of young attractive ladies in sundresses, fun/friendly/positive vibe all over (not just at one hole), beautiful views everywhere, super tight course so you can get up close to the players and shots, all the yachts pull right into the harbor and party, and you can mix in a beach day. The GF isn’t all that into sports but she loves it, and we have a buddy whose family has a house on 6 so we were able to start Saturday watching from there.

ETA: I have no problem with crowds in the US breaking out a USA chant in support of an American player down the stretch. Most people in the South love the good ole (I know that triggers certain segments of our population).

Looks like a fun time. After I get my annual rejection notice from Augusta I need to plan a trip to Hilton Head instead

It's fricking awesome. Other benefit vs. the Masters is that the entire area is gorgeous. Last year we did a sunset cruise that went all around Hilton Head and Dafuskie. Good times.
