Nick Mangold

Maybe not this year but he definitely deserves to get in. One of if not the best center I can remember.

There are more than 5 HOF’ers in the list. Hell, there are 4-5 HOF’ers at DL alone

how far back does Modern Era go. Sorry I just feel like Sterling Sharpe should be in

Sterling has been retired over 25 years. He’s moved into the Senior Class selection committee. He was a semi-finalist last year, and made the cut again for the 2024 class.

The HOF elects 3 each year from the pool of Senior candidates, Coaches, and contributors.

It looks like Ken Anderson, Maxie Baughn, Randy Gradishar, and Eddie Meador were also semi-finalists last year also, so they should be his biggest competition with a lot of built-in support.

Some notable newcomers of the Senior’s list are Joe Jacoby, Albert Lewis, and Steve McMichael.

I vote against Reggie because he didn’t go to LSU

I would vote for Alstott, Willis, and Gates but that’s it. Would listen to an argument for Sharpe.

Robert Smith,

Is there a Robert Smith I'm missing on there other than the RB? Because I'm trying to figure out how his name is on the list. No way in hell he should be in the HoF.

His and Andre Johnson’s resume’ are very close.

Resumes can be deceiving… if you watched football when they were playing Andre Johnson was clearly better than Reggie Wayne… this with me knowing Reggie personally …

There are some easy ones there, but the list likely has 25 Hall of Famers in it.

Jared Allen, Vince Wilfork, Antonio Gates, Matt Light, and Joey Porter would be my first five.

That is a crazy take. There are at least 30 names on that list I could vote in the Hall of Fame today.

My top five
Hines Ward
Steve Smith
Corey Dillon
Dwight Freeney
Antonio Gates

One played with Matt Schaub and the other played with Peyton Manning.

These two, Steve Smith, and Hester should all get in.

Steve Smith is criminally underrated and should go in over either of those two.

His receiving stats are comparable at 1031 rec, 14731 yards and 81 tds.

But he was also just a dynamic player and return man.

Smith also had 387 yards rushing and two TDs, plus another 4,000 yards and 6 touchdowns as a punt and kick returner. He is top 10 all time in all purpose yards. He also showed up when it mattered, with 1046 yards from scrimmage and 11 total touchdowns in 11 career playoff games.

Steve smith has a better career, regular season and playoffs, than Reggie wayne even though wayne had Peyton manning and smith had delhomme.

My five are Peppers, Smith, Gates, Wilfork and Shaun Alexander.

This.

One played with arguably the greatest QB of all time and never played on a team that won less than 10 games until his 10th year. The other was on an expansion team and had David Carr and Matt Schaub at QB and never played on a team that won 10 games until his 10th year.
