Impossible to say that one was better than the other.
I'll never forget Magic playing center in game 6 against Chocolate Thunder and Caldwell Jones. That was one for the ages.
What's surprising looking at the advanced stats is that Bird generally had better defensive win shares and defensive box score plus minus than Magic.
