Alley Broussard is also being severely underrated in this thread

Marshall Faulk was already named, but what about Billy Cannon and Johnny Hector ?

M faulk was viewed more as a DB prospect coming out of high school. I think that's how he ended up at SD state. They were willing to take him as a RB, while the big schools wanted him as a DB.

I realize there's only so many they can fit in the bracket but I'm a little surprised Shyrone Carey wasn't in there. He was unstoppable at Shaw.

Matt Forte probably should be on the list too

I was at the Ruston game when he jumped and karate kicked a defender in the face.

I think Robiskie played QB in HS at Third Ward.

John David Crow probably deserves a mention in this thread. between him, Billy cannon, Jim Taylor, and Johnny Robinson, id say LA was pretty loaded at RB in the late 50s.

Eddie Lacey and Darrius Geist were the most dominant RB's I got to watch in HS.

I saw A Train play in a playoff game he was unstoppable and had around 200yds by half, he sat on the bench the rest of the game.

What’s wrong with Kenny Hilliard being there? He was a beast in high school. Pooka was a beast as well and played in the toughest classification in the state. If it weren’t for Pooka, Hahnville wouldn’t have even made the playoffs that year. He carried that team against some really good competition and always had great games

He carried a mediocre Hahnville team to the 5a championship game by his damn self.

When Louisiana had 9 state champions in football?

DeWayne Woods was unbelievable and best back I’ve ever seen on a Louisiana high school football field. Cecil Collins got absolutely stonewalled during that state championship game between Salmen and Leesville

Kenny Hilliard and Michael Ford both had incredible high school production.

And that’s what the bracket is about, although it is obviously suffering from a ton of recency bias.
