The fact that the all time hits leader and the all time home run leader aren’t in the baseball hall of fame is a joke.

And to me, it’s all the more reason while Dale Murphy not being in is equally egregious. That’s not to say he’s any slouch with back-to-back MVPs, 7x all-star, multiple gold gloves, silver sluggers, etc....just to say that if you’re going to leave the gambler/cheater out then why not cut a little slack to someone who is the opposite?

FWIW- I think the Murphy should be in anyway based on what I listed above and the fact that he was considered one of the best when he played

The whole thing is a joke. Leave out Barry, McGwire, Clemens etc because of steroids. Yet admit Piazza, Biggio, Thome etc. who we all know we’re using as well. Get off your high horses BBWAA.

Pete Browning - the actual Louisville Slugger is somehow not in

Bob Caruthers - won 40 games twice. Won almost 69% of his starts. Completed 298 games as a starting pitcher.

Lefty O'Doul - converted from pitcher to outfielder at age 31. He was a Japanese HOF member and his lifetime BA was over .340 and among the highest in MLB history. 1929 was his career year when he batted .398 with 254 hits.

Pete Rose should be in. Rose has been blacklisted for 32 years. We have murderers out of prison in less than 15 years.

If Steve Garvey would have keep his dick in his pants and not become a lying hypocrite, he would have likely gotten in the Hall.

Biggio made it in simply for lasting 20 seasons. His character was a plus. Never thought of him as a top 3 or 4 2Bman. He did collect 3,060 hits of which 600 of them were doubles. He batted .281 iirc.
