He and Tiger and the other hardliners need to push back hard against this and make it clear they won’t play with Saudi money.

I wonder if the Saudis will ever thinking about creating the football version of LIV. If Mahomes, Burrow, Allen, Herbert, Lamar, Hurts gets offered $200 million/year from the Saudis for their professional football league, how many of them are turning that down?

I would pay 2004 PPV type of money to watch a live stream of the players meeting today with Monahan

Who cares if the Saudis are the money behind the curtain? I certainly don’t. It only sucks when they go do something shitty like LIv which pulls players away from real golf/sports
As long as they are just the ones making the direct deposits and the sport itself doesn’t change, who gives a shite

Was all this just about money? Monahan up on the stage with his favorite Arab selling this merger is freakin surreal. Stunning really.
I wonder how close the litigation in that LIV lawsuit was to actual discovery. This of course brings an end to that. But did the PGA really want exposed what they have been adamantly calling a charity league for all these decades?

no way that the reason Rory and Tiger were so hardlined against LIV could be that they were also making their own golf league at the same time LIV announced theirs?

Morikawa posted that he found out on Twitter.
Is there a bigger scumbag on earth than Monihan?

In no way can Jay Monahan keep his job next year.

So how is this supposed to work ? Separate, but equal, with ranking points available to all?

Is this merger a result of the rumored mega investment by NIKE into LIV Golf ?
Posted on 6/6/23 at 11:36 am to WDE24
Jay used to have to answer to the players to remain employed. Does he still have to do that with his new position? Or did he just make himself a bunch of money and now only has to keep the money behind him happy?

You know that was not a real thing, right?

It would be difficult in team sports.
They could destroy tennis, though, and throw a boatload at the top 8 guys or so to just do exhos.

And didn't it say in the memo that they are going to a for profit business model moving forward. Jay has more power than ever now.
