Did his ball move when he addressed it?

Oscilated a bit at most. Nothing wrong with that.

I came here to see if anyone was talking about that. I swear that ball moved when he pushed the grass down behind it.
If that’s Patrick reed it’s blowing up.

I wasn’t sure of what the rules are. Didn’t think that was a penalty

The ball changed positions when he addressed it and grounded his club.

I thought it moved down a little right when the club was grounded.

That ball did not move back into its original position. I have not seen a replay.

I just rewound it and can’t find a replay that shows the ball moving enough to be a penalty. The only close up of the ball is just before the actual shot and the ball does look like it moves down and to the left when he first grounds his club, but the lie did not change

Correct... he grounded his club the ball move the equivalent of a dimple to the left and did not move back to its original position. I watched the replay. I’ve seen players penalized for a lot less in the past but I know they have changed the rules a bit in the last few years...

I have rewound it a couple times. Ball changes positions and is caused by him addressing the ball and grounding club. It does not return to its original position. Hope this doesn't cost him, because that was a fricking beautiful shot
