Peter King melts down bigly over Deshaun Watson trade and new contract

It's the written version of Herby crying on Gameday
On and on it goes
quote:
I am going to write about the Browns selling their souls for a football player who has 22 open accusations of sexual assault or sexual harassment against him.
This is all necessary, of course, because the Browns acquired Watson from Houston in a blockbuster trade on Friday. Cleveland sent three first-round picks (including the No. 13 overall pick in April’s draft), a 2023 third-rounder and a 2024 fourth-rounder in exchange for Watson and a 2024 fifth-rounder. As part of the deal, Cleveland gave Watson a new five-year, $230 million contract.
quote:
The Cleveland Rape Crisis Center said Saturday, “We understand the story surrounding Deshaun Watson joining the Cleveland Browns is triggering for far too many of our friends and neighbors … To the community we say, we see you. We hear your outrage. We feel it too.”
quote:
Doug Lesmerises, a writer for the Cleveland Plain Dealer, quoted a woman, 23-year-old Molly Rose of Chagrin Falls, Ohio, who wrote to him saying: “I don’t know how to root for a team I’ve loved my whole life when every time I see their QB it reminds me of my own experiences being a victim of sexual assault. It may sound dramatic, but my heart is broken.”
On and on it goes

Peter King in 2011 (Gronk's second year in the league):
"Jermichael Finley is going to be the next great hall of fame TE."
...
Peter King until this year:
"John Schneider is the best GM in football."

If Watson was an average QB no way he plays in the NFL again. He’s good enough to make a good team great and every NFL team without a QB would love to have him.

With how deliberately he ripped off truckers, god knows what that guy's done in the past he didn't get caught doing.

Today’s journalist compete daily in the virtue signaling olympics. Peter is the most virtuous football writer. Just ask him

Does Peter still give his craft beer recommendations for whatever cool locations he has the privilege of traveling through?

Peter is part of the racist establishment that doesn’t want to see an innocent black man succeed

does that fat baby point out that a grand jury failed to indict watson?

The people that should be melting down the most over Watson's contract are the owners of the Arizona Cardinals, the Cincinnati Bengals, and the Los Angeles Chargers. If Watson can get all of that with a career that consists of one playoff win and all the off the field issues he has what will quarterbacks with no off the field issues and/or more playoff success going to rake when their rookie contracts expire? The Bills should be ectastic that they resigned Allen before all of this came down.

He’s not wrong. Watson is a trash can, and the Browns just got into bed with him.
Posted on 3/21/22 at 7:55 am to SirWinston
I only melt because Deshaun actually thought Cleveland was a place he wanted to go to

The man was found innocent.

Do people not understand that grand jury indictments are much, much easier to get from a than actually going to trial and getting a conviction? If the grand jury didn’t indict him, it’s pretty likely he didn’t do it.
This also should have been obvious when the primary lawyer went to the media first. Always look at what someone is doing and not what they’re saying. He was trying to get a trial by media before putting everything out in the open. This isn’t a new trick and these dipshits fall for it every single time.

Watson has a massage fetish that involves a finger up the arse. Not run-of-the-mill behavior, but indeed not criminal. If there were a shred of evidence that a criminal act occurred, he would have been charged.
What's funny is if it came out he was gay and getting massages from men, King and the sports media would celebrate him.

I’m surprised King took time out of his busy schedule of writing about IPAs, hotels, airlines, bus trips, his baseball game attendance recaps, coffee, politics, youth sports, the bravery of his daughter and her wife raising a child, his grandson’s adventures and slobbing the knobs of Brett Favre and Tom Brady to add a football note.
If you look up the word “twat” in the dictionary, you will see a photo of Peter King.
