Damn, that is probably worse than a UAB game at legion field in Birmingham.

And I don't know anyone who has ever gone to a uab game.

Wow, that's gotta be a record. Far more than I'd have thought.

I figured it would be the 16,600 reported. The other 15k fans were participating in the usual "Dress Up as Your Seat Day" promotion like they do at their other home games.

I may actually go to their next game out of pitty.

You know how they say 90,000 people were there to see the LSU FLa 97 game, but over 500,000 claim to have been there?
Well when Tulane plays 976 shows up but only 100 claim to have attended.

Damn skippy.

As shitty and painful as it is to watch sometimes, it's still my hometown team

I could fall in line and go for LSU while they are a powerhouse this decade (not that I don't root for them when they aren't playing UGA) but that just wouldn't be me. I tend to not be a sheep Nor take the easy way out

I have a friend who went, and he estimated ~5,000 in attendance. Maybe he was drunk on $9 beers?

Does anyone have the picture of the stands that was posted the other day? I didn't save it and can use it to tease a Greenie

to be fair it looked a lot more than 973... maybe they didn't count freebies

maybe around 3 or 4k or so

You realize that this season there will be more LSU(Sugar-BCS Bowl) & ULL (New Orleans Bowl) fans watching a football game in the Superdome than Tulane fans.

Turnstile count includes freebies. Theoretically, if you are in the building (but not on the field) you passed through a turnstile to get there.
I'm wondering if WGNO got their info from the TD post linked earlier.

Tulane and UNO both need to do some soul-searching and figure out why their D1 programs can't do better than average high schools, and what can be done about it

it isn't the saints because tulane has had some games since 1967 where they've drawn

it isn't the hornets or katrina because tulane and UNO problems have dated since before either came

it isn't LSU because outside of football, nobody is driving from NOLA to BR for any other sport

it isn't the media because i think both tulane and UNO get more coverage than they deserve

Tulane and Baylor should consolidate future tarp purchases. Imagine the price break!

WOW that outdraws my spring flag football league attendance by only about 950 people. Not good.
