bottom line, is they will get supported if they put out a winner. New Orleans is a football city, if they were winning, they'd be drawing a crowd mainly of people that have never gone to Tulane.

That is unbeleivably sad in so many ways. It's so sad it really does make me sort of depressed and I am in no way shape or form a Tulane fan. It's like looking at a really bad car accident kind of sad. Wow, just wow. Will they consider just ending their football program? How can they possibly be in any way profitable if they don't have any more interest than that?

So if there were ~ 150-200 players who dressed for that game, almost half the crowd could be solely parents.

20K+.....no more than 30K....prob somewhere in between.

they really should play there.

put some pre game concerts on or something pre/post game in city park. Promote the chance to tailgate in a nice area, etc.

obviously the biggest hurdle would be selling that to potential recruits. but i think the positives would outweigh the negatives.

because teams go through the turnstile right?

are you retarded? 200 players x 2 parents = 400 people which is slightly less than 1/2 the crowd.

Just sad...

Have said it before and will say it again..the Dome is NOT the best place for this team to play.
They need their own stadium!

there is absolutely no way there were 16,000 people at that game...that may be how many tickets they sold, but the last time i saw them on tv there weren't more than 1000 people there and that was 2 years ago...and they haven't gotten any better.

I wonder if you counted the people in the pictures if you'd get 973? It wouldn't surprise me if that's all that there was at the game.

I bet Tulane did sell about 15,000 tickets though to alumni around the country who donated them to local institutions and what not.

But that is sad. I want Tulane to suck at FB, but I do still want them around in FB.

Supposedly there are about 5-6 boosters who fund Tulane football and as long as they fund it there'll be Tulane football.

The actual turnstile count was a little over 2,600. I have a friend who is a coordinator over there.
