Cable and satellite are dying a slow death, how long before regular season games are streaming only for local markets?

Same here, I already pay enough for cable. I don't watch Thursday games anymore, so this is just adding to the list of stuff I'm not going watch.

They will for their favorite team. A person from New Orleans isn't going to shell out money to watch a Jaguars vs. Dolphins playoff game. It basically limits the audience to the markets of the teams playing the game.

Is this what it feels like to get old?

I’m not getting Peacock to watch a football game. I wouldn’t order any extra streaming services to watch any NFL playoff games. I do watch them on OTA channels or ESPN. But I’m not vested enough to do any extra. Not anymore.

I guess it’s leaving me behind. Oh well.

They are going the way of MLB and will
Kill the game the way they did. You have to look all over the map find MLB playoff games these days.

That's lame, but predictable. How much longer before the Super Bowl gets moved to PPV?

Tracks with everything, society wide. Everything imaginable will be a la carte at this rate. Basic features in a car you’ve already paid for, etc.

And yes, it fricking sucks.

I think it's been pretty strong since 2018. Last year was bad though. The primetime games, especially Thursdays, were horrific.

That’s all fine, just tell that to the NFL fans when the NFL and it’s organizations block everything on what used to be over the air for free. Did you have one of those antennas that you had to turn to pick up a game? The NFL is slowly but surely going to the point of NO Fox, CBS or NBC games, within 10 years local markets probably won’t be safe.
