Peacock will become the home to the first-ever exclusive live streamed NFL Playoff game, presenting an NFL Wild Card Playoff in prime time on Saturday, Jan. 13, 2024, it was announced today by NBCUniversal and the NFL.

The Peacock exclusive Wild Card game will immediately follow a late afternoon NFL Wild Card Playoff game on NBC and Peacock (4:30 p.m. ET on Sat. Jan. 13).

"We are thrilled to partner with the NFL on this industry milestone, bringing to Peacock the first ever exclusively live streamed NFL Playoff game," said Pete Bevacqua, Chairman, NBC Sports. "As Peacock continues to grow, nothing says 'must-have' programming more than live NFL games. With the regular-season schedule revealed last week and today's announcement, we can't wait for the 2023 season to kick off."

I know a lot of people will pay, but with the way this is going my broke arse won’t be able to pay for everyone who has the rights. And I don’t really care.

That's lame, but predictable. How much longer before the Super Bowl gets moved to PPV?

The owners & league execs are so old and out of touch I don't think they realize how easy it is to pirate games. Thinking people will pay money to watch one game is dumb.

You underestimate the number of people who will just throw a card number on their screen.

You’re out of touch if you think jersey guy and face paint guy aren’t going to pay $5 to watch a playoff game

That, and people don’t want to sign up for a service just to watch a boring-arse Titans vs. Browns playoff game.

Yeah. Honestly it'll depend on who plays as to whether I care to watch or not.

It's not just one game it's the entire concept that's outdated. The league and frankly their TV partners are still operating like it's 2005.

I hate Peacock so much. Most important EPL game of the entire season and they put that shite on there.

People are getting what they asked for. Paying $100 bucks or whatever a month for 400 channels on cable/satellite was fine but wasn’t good enough for many people. Many poors on this board loved to brag about cord cutting and getting ala carte cost cutting options via streaming. It never dawned on them that all of these channels/tech companies could just create their own individual streaming service and it would cost double/triple to watch everything you were already getting or else be forced to steal the content via streameast etc.
