I'm going to go out on a limb and say it's designed for max click bait.. Can I get the full Payton interview alone.
what's there to really dissect? Payton gave out info about nix that nix really didn't want out there.

Aren't there NFL rules that require teams to say someone is on injured reserve and why and the expected length of time on IR?
Or has this evolved because of the massive 'industry' of betting on games?

They left off the worst quote in the 2nd clip, “I didn’t know he had an injury in high school, if I had known that I might not have drafted him”
Tongue in cheek? Maybe, maybe not

I don’t think Nix needed any more context.

If this thread is gonna be an argument about Nix and Payton and who contributed to their success more this year, I'd say neither.
Broncos offense:
10th in yds/game
14th in pts/game (0.2 more than the Steelers/game)
Broncos defense:
2nd in yds/game
3rd in pts/game
Everyone is over here arguing about whether SP or Nix made this team good when it's pretty clear to anyone that it is Vance Joseph and the defense that carried this team.

Here are the two clips.
Payton for sure overshared, but he was obviously not being a dick or playing the contract game. Mind you this was right after the game..

That whole post game press conference was kind of strange. They had the surgery details as far as scheduling and location within an hour

From what I can tell, Sean Payton overshared. But the manner in which he did it was not worthy of Bo Nix calling his own press conference to respond. Should have gone to him and said man I thought that was out of line.

Nix sounds kinda like a bitch here
Remember when Manning cited HIPAA has a reason no one would talk about his neck

as an Auburn fan, I do not blame him - sucks how he got treated and glad he has found success

Only during the season. In the offseason, it is customary for teams to keep as much as possible close to the vest as nothing is required to be reported until a few days before the team's next game

Nix about to get Mike T'd. Next thing you know he'll be throwing bricks at random cars in his neighborhood

Especially since Peyton aired out all his dirty laundry.
And if the Broncos were to let him walk in free agency without a serious effort to re-sign him, you don’t think that would be a red flag for other GMs that they would need to do some serious due diligence on why the Broncos were willing to let him walk after they used a 1st round pick and he’d played so well pre-injury?

also argue Nix has saved Payton’s
Stop. Payton is arguably the best offensive coach in nfl history. Bridgewater went 5-0 when Brees went down in 2019.

Does anyone outside of Saints fans feel this way?
Why would Payton say this? It makes no sense. Again, my point is they should be working together here.
1.) It was a slip up? He's talked about it twice, so doesn't seem to be
2.) He is mad at Nix?
3.) He is trying to tank his value
Yeah, Nix has 2 years left but its very normal for players like QB's to negotiate well before their contract is over. I certainly doubt they'd wait until mid season before its over
