We were at the game too. Very disappointing offense for the Pirates. Was really hoping they could beat the Cardinals.

Yeah but there are worse places to start your career than Pittsburgh. It's an underrated city with plenty of fan support.

Can’t do it if the owner won’t spend the money.

He seems like a guy that’s just content to go out and pitch and dominate every 5 days and not care what happens the other 4. He will be just fine

this, guy is a gamer, eventually you get frustrated with losing, even tho, you gave everything you had.

pittsburgh has 6ish years of control on him?

Guy is fun to watch, would like to see him leading a contender, but that won't be for another 5 years.

Found the guy who doesn't watch outside of "his" team.

Pirates have a fantastic rotation headlined by Skenes, Jones, Keller, and Falter. Then they have 3 pitchers in the Top 100 prospects with Bubba Chandler ready to roll next year.

They have O'Neil Cruz, Bryan Reynolds, and Joey Bart. They recently called up Yorke and have two more position players within the Top 50 prospects. With some smart off-season moves they could easily challenge for the NL Central. Much like the Royals did to make their leap.

They won't go for Soto, Alonso, or Bregman but Josh Bell, Yoan Moncada, Harrison Bader, Alex Verdugo, and Tyler O'Neill all make sense for reasonable short term off-season additions who would help the offense.

The Pirates were once a great franchise.

Sad to see what happened to them.
