He's a fraud
Years ago he used to do a spot on the Chris Vernon show here in Memphis and at that time the character was just more of a contrarian than what it has grown in to today. Anyway, I forget what was going on but some tragedy had occurred and he came out of character and admitted the whole outkick Clay was a bit. Havent taken a single word that guy says seriously since.

Exactly what Trump did

Of course one guy was protesting the US, which he’s free to do of course but the manner of his protest angered some of the customer base.
the other was criticizing China and that upset just some ANBA business interests because the Chinese government doesn’t tolerate dissent

quote:Kanter's stance would be much more risky IMO.
There's a slight difference though.
Kaep was going to be a backup with tons of baggage which would make him unpopular with lots of the fanbase. Kanter would potentially be a backup that would be unpopular with China. No fans were upset with his human rights stances.
Piss off a segment of one singular fanbase, or piss off all of China and a large segment of the entire league's revenues.

Kanter has yet to tell a lie about LeBron though

He turned a "keep politics out of sports" platform into a political/sports career that he is making bank on.
“Keep politics out of sports” was always conservative code for “keep differing opinions away from me and my echo chamber”. It’s the flip side of the liberals wanting to cancel anyone who doesn’t agree with them.
They never really cared if politics were in or out of sports, they just didn’t want to see anything outside of “their” politics. I don’t think it took a genius to recognize that, but I guess we can credit Clay for monetizing it.

Works both ways. I’m sure you believe every stupid thing Democrats spew out as well.
No. Y’all keep saying this, but it’s just not true. In general, Democrats have no issue calling out even candidates they voted for when they say stupid shite. Republicans treat their politicians like y’all are ride or die with these motherfrickers. Like they family.

Came across on Twitter that Enes Kanter is a part of Outkick now and one of the tweets says that Kanter was blackballed by the NBA for speaking out against human rights violations. Which maybe true, but also Kanter wasn't exactly playing great basketball the last time he was in the NBA. Idk, I just find it funny that Clay Travis is screaming "blackballed" for one of his employees, but still makes sure to point out to this day that Kaepernick wasn't blackballed, he just sucked and no one wanted to take on a backup QB with that baggage (which is also true, at least I believe that to be true). It's like Clay is not even trying to hide the hypocrisy anymore and just playing the hits because he knows his fanbase and knows they will click on that. Long arse post, but I'm just wondering if anyone takes Clay seriously anymore?

If you have read his book Dixieland Delight you would have known what a cleft a-hole he really is..

Well, duh. He’s made a lot of money doing this. Were you under the presumption a lifelong democrat pulled a complete 180 for any other reason?

These guys realize if you just tell idiots on the right the dumb shite they want to hear, they will form a cult like following devoted to you and make you rich, or President.
That playbook isn’t exclusive to Republicans. It’s exclusive to everyone in the media who wants to make money and everyone in politics who wants to get elected
