Baseball is an extremely difficult game. Guys get cold and guys get hot.

I believe that this team will be successful tonight. They have weathered the storm to this point. They are battle tested (more so than the Dodgers as the Dodgers have had a easy path to the series).

Yu is a great pitcher, but Altuve and Correa will not repeat their 0-8 from last night. Springer is hot, Bregs is hot, all we need is a little contribution from Marwin and Reddick.

As much as I have been sickened by Reddick, I still believe he can play baseball at a high level. I'm not so sure he feels like he can at this point. But he can. He just needs a small break-through.

So is McCann facing a RHP

From a batting standpoint:

-Springer and Bregman just need to continue doing what they are doing
-Altuve needs to hit for a base hit, He has a lot of pressure being the MVP, but he is taking too many strong cuts to end the game in a swing
-I think Correa is fine and just needs to keep working the count
-Yuli, don't mind the boos just keep hitting for extra bases, I love it when his helmet comes off like clockwork as he rounds 1st
-Marwin needs to get it going
-McCann just keep battling and get a few more of those HBPs on the arm
-Reddick needs to cut the slap hitting stuff out. He needs to stay in the box longer and make solid contact. He is shortening his bat too much with the slap swing he is working with right now and missing the meat of the bat.
-McCullers needs to drop a bomb just to make me smile but other than that he needs to be put in a position to bunt runners over (Marwin, McCann, and Reddick need to get on base)

Quite possibly the most lance McCullers statement I've ever heard lol

I agree with the bats coming alive tonight. I also think having to win 2 straight against the Yankees will pay off tonight. Their path to the WS was much more difficult and that will hopefully be the edge they need tonight.

Maybin should have been in for him, that strikeout was atrocious with runners in scoring position and no outs.

Oh well.

I thought I was a baller, buying tickets to World Series Game 5 for my wife and I.

I probably could fly to LAX and get tix, but my account would be less than zero.

Thanks for supporting the Stros on the road.

Yeah I have no idea what to think about tonight. The Houston sports fan in me expects the worst but this team is so resilient

I am going into this game with zero expectations. I have absolutely no idea how this thing will play out. It's game 7.

Nothing would really surprise me.

I hope the Astros jump to a huge lead and then AJ uses Derek Fisher to strike out Harry from the Hendersons.

One more note about the game last night... the Dodgers Jumbotrons show a digital
/video game style introduction to each of the Astros players. The closeup headshots was some funny stuff. The cross-eyed Bregman had me laughing every time.

Sounds insensitive to cross-eyed people. I'm offended and outraged.

Exactly. This will not in any way be a typical ballgame, especially based on how the pitchers might be used.

Game 4 figured to be high scoring and it was 1-1 going to the 9th. Game 5 figured to be low scoring with Kershaw and Keuchel....and it was 12-12 after 9.

It will all be a matter of which pitchers have anything left. I HAVE to believe that Morrow's arm is tired. I also believe that Maeda has to be gassed. But weird things happen in Game 7. Who would have thought Bumgarner would have gone 5 innings against the Royals in Game 7 in 2014 on 2 days rest and absolutely dominate?

I think it will be a matter of which pitcher gets into the game and has the hot hand. I fear Kershaw could be that guy......I hope it is someone like Keuchel. Or maybe McCullers dominates for a while.

The unknown is what makes this game exciting......and very scary.

The narratives setting up for this game are cringe worthy. Yu Darvish is such a victim. Comes back after a rough start and being bullied by Yuli to shut us down. Clayton Kershaw finishes it off out of the pen after blowing an opportunity in game 5.

Truly exciting time to be an Astros fan!

However it plays out, been a hell of a ride this season, and hopefully more in the future.

That being said, I hope the Dodgers eat shite tonight.
