I wonder if it pisses Brits off when Americans say "hey that's the music to Let Freedom Ring"

Is Jacobellis the new Bode Miller? It was hilarious watching him celebrate like he won the Gold Medal after being disqualified in the '06 Olympics.
Can you post anything that doesn't come across as if you are a complete a-hole?

because 2nd or 3rd represent an OLYMPIC MEDAL. It's a big deal (in sports terms)
no one remembers who got 2nd or 3rd
like Shani Davis, you could tell he was mad when he didnt win gold tonight. He was expecting to win gold, and was upset he didnt. He didnt flail all around and celebrate. True competitors usually arent happy with 2nd or 3rd

Is he favored in any of them? I'd like to see him take Gold at some point in these games.
He won the gold in the 500 m in Torino. That race is Friday. He's not favored, but if he has a great race, he can win.
Then the 5000 m team relay is Friday, also. The US isn't favored, but we can certainly medal.

I had never seen a short track relay before, but I saw the qualifying and it's fricking crazy

kinda, she completely shite the bed....ruining the whole redemption store she had going on

I don't think it's anywhere close to Bode though. First, Bode shat the bed in 5 events. Second, he blatantly didn't give a frick about his massive failure.

you would be proud as shite of a silver medal if you were good enough in anything to get one. Yeah if you were favored you might be a little disappointed, but you would still have "Silver Medalist" in front of your name for the rest of your life. Bad arse, IMO

Nobody has beaten Bode in a party though, which is what matters

absolutely. initially there may be disapointment if you were favored. Afterward, pride in your accomplishmnet would set in.

I agree, no where close to Bode.
I felt terrible for the girl, eventhough she brought all the pressure on herself

Bode's such an idiot. He gave it his best shot and won two silvers when he was young and at least a silver and a bronze when he is at the twilight of his career. He could have gotten 3 or 4 golds in Torino if he wasn't such a moron.

no shite.
I'm glad he has turned it around and is doing well this year

Yeah.
But something happened to South Korea in that race. They didn't even medal.
South Korea is the favorite. The US, Canada, and China are in the next wave.
