do you feel like the fact that they didnt call it makes you right? you have no clue what they might or might not call.
You are wrong, he is right. Its Canada vs USA... COME ON... First off, refs will let stuff go its Americans vs Canadians. # 2 its Canada's team captain on Canadian ice, its NOT getting called. He knew he could gamble. I dont buy that shite...

Obviously there's a chance they'll call it, but it wasn't likely, for the reason I mentioned.
Canada needs to get something going. They got owned the last 5 minutes of that period. From his perspective, as the captain, it's worth the chance that the Americans might get pissed or the even smaller chance a penalty will be called to try to get some momentum for your team and to get them going.

Based on the way each team was playing at the end of the period, I think it was the right move to take that chance, from a Canadian perspective.
by the way the teams were playing at the end of the period you really want to pull a BS move like that after tying the game the US team out played, out hustled, and were clearly the more physical team and from a Canadian perspective you really think that would be a good move?

The Cdn captain needs a gimmick to get his team up on home ice over the US. My my, how things change.

Or Phaneuf. Or Bouwmeester.
I appreciate it, though. I'd much rather, at this point in their careers, deal with Pronger than Phaneuf. And the Canadians sure could use a stay-at-home guy like Bouwmeester with all of those free-wheeling stars on the ice.

Is this not being shown on TV right now?

I would like to have a power play with a clear sheet of ice...oh wait thats happening, hope they put Drury and Rafalski on ice at same time for this one.

Serious? I won't even respond because I don't think anyone that has been alive for more than 5 years and living in either Canada or the US would say something so dumb. You dont think the refs knew there would be a lot of cheap shots and words exchanged in this one?? Refs are human, they are loving this game. Not going to start the game 5 vs 3 on Canadian ice by calling that on their team captain.

That's the exact reason why. The US outhustled the Canadians. They worked harder, that's why he's trying to get his team fired up.

Pronger's not the player he once was
I don't know why the Flyers traded for him. Dude is obviously beyond his prime.

Of course, this is possible. Knowing Niedermayer, though, I'd say it's not likely.
