So Joe Mixon says in the letter he grew in up in the Bay Area & then went to Oklahoma & says he knows racism. So he is telling us the liberal bastion that is the Bay Area is racist? No kidding.

I guess colleges should banned all music or media that has the n word in it. Whoever is caught is immediately kicked of campus.

Enough already. If it's held that sacred at the highest levels, enforce it at all.levels

If this ended up being an admin decision, then Wokelahoma is right.

Coach Gundy recruited my nephew out of high school and reached out to him after they beat Florida State in Tallahassee. Great guy.

Well a San Fran Giants fan did throw a banana at Adam Jones. Can't remember the last time an SEC fanbase threw a banana at a black player. Maybe a certain fanbase threw some mustard and golf balls at a former coach of theirs after a call they didn't like, but no bananas.

Maybe the player that used that word should be canceled and kicked off the team instead?

Pretty sure one is able to get away with saying it and the other isn't.

Either the word is vile (hint: it is) and no one should be saying it. Or it’s not and who cares who says it.

This nonsense where certainly people can say the word repeatedly and others get dragged for reading someone else’s writing of the word is absurd and indefensible. You cannot possibly be sane and believe this is OK.

The truth behind Gundy leaving is not really relevant to me. Whether he was forced out or truly fell on his sword, it’s just sad. I feel bad for him, for OU, their fans and their players.

That’s a heck of a statement from Mixon

Yeah that was very strong. I'm curious if this story gets bigger and it creates push back on the "white people are racist if they quote rap lyrics" plague that's been fueling woke hunters on Twitter during drafts for like 5 years now.

So should the player leave to or is he “cleared” to use said word

I hate to tell y'all, but admin officials at nearly every school in the country are huge lefties. You don't get to that position without being one. This doesn't say anything about Oklahoma IMO, same thing would have happened almost anywhere if the admin got ahold of it.

So why isn’t the player who wrote the word kicked off the team and kicked out of school?

Exactly. If this is the standard, there has to be zero tolerance of the N word, in ALL settings, not just college campuses.

It just worked again. Why would they quit now?

It is the university’s/athletic department/football teams iPad; there fore they should shut down the university, athletic dept and football team for a year - it they are all true believers in wokeism

But the bigger story is who wrote that bad word? Why was player texting and communicating with someone who said that terrible word? Looks like the player and his friend who sent that message should be resigning.....

A wall of text about repeating what was said on the "students" pad that wasn't paying attention. Good lord.

The problem isn’t now… it’ll be recruiting… that shite would’ve been used against Gundy and OU immediately… and no matter how “innocent” the circumstances, players and parents aren’t gonna do the digging.
