Hunter Hamrick followed up his opening round 77 with the low round of the day shooting 67. He went from T121 to start the day to T18. Pretty good pro debut for someone who was playing college golf 12 days ago and went through both local and sectional qualifying just to get into the U.S. Open.

That is the whole reason for the late times.

Dufner and Kuchar playing together - should definitely be a DirecTV marquis matchup

Not exactly. On the west coast, the last group is going off at 3:00. 2:30-3:00 is pretty standard for the weekend US Open final pairing.

The most interesting thing about the prime time golf is that we get Tiger vs LeBron in a ratings battle. I'll be real interested to see who comes out on top if Tiger is near the lead at the end of the day.

Damn, you're CST.

It's 6:05 for me. Gonna be weird watching golf at night.

For west coast opens, this started with Torrey in '08. Prior to that, it was like a normal event that would end at 5 or 6 with about the latest local tee time being 1:00

I'm a Lebron fan but, frick him and the NBA finals, there are only 4 majors on the year, and they will only be playing the 3rd game in the series

Tiger will blow away the NBA game if he is near the top.

Well it will be perfect. The game starts at 7 I think, so you will watch the end of the open then switch over for the 4th quarter.

I also really hope we have an all Tiger final grouping. Either Peterson/Toms, Toms/Tiger, Peterson/Tiger. It would be sweet, I just want one of the 3 Tigers to win
