Not me. Roy has done a great job there. Go Avs, keep the Ducks sliding backward.

I'll admit, I was very apprehensive when they announced Patrick as the coach. But damn, he's certainly surprise me and is a hell of a coach. It would be nice to see him win a Cup behind the Avs bench.

Dallas looking good again tonight. Getting goals from outside of their top line recently which is what they really needed in the first half of the season. After that horrible start in January they have been on a roll.

Edit: damn, spoke too soon. Flames score two quick ones in the 3rd.

Kris Letang cleared to resume practice holy shite yes

@JoshYohe_Trib: So, it sounds like Letang fully intends on playing soon. Stunning news.

@JoshYohe_Trib: Letang isn't just practicing, but has been cleared for a full practice. Big difference.

Lee Stempniak first goal as a Penguin! Man, what a trade that has ended up being. He's been phenomenal. 3-1 Pens.

If the Caps win tonight, there will be five teams within two points, fighting for three playoff spots. And the Leafs, while fairly safe, are only 2 points ahead of the group, and the Bolts only 3.

The East is a gigantic cluster.

Stars are just like the Cowboys, they start out well then fade late. They should petition the NHL to end the season in February.

The only difference is that nobody cares about the Stars.

NY Rangers, Washington, and Toronto all have 70 games on the books.

Columbus*, Philadelphia, Tampa Bay, and Detroit all only have 68 games.

*Columbus has 1-0 lead on Dallas from the Peverly heart condition game.

Yeah, the Caps are further back than the standings show. They also would lose any tiebreaker due to a lack of ROWs. Still, five teams within two points for three slots this late (and six within three for four slots) is pretty remarkable.

The flipside to that is C-bus' schedule, due to the makeup game, is gonna be ridiculous. They will play an absurd number of games in a short period of time. They will play 8 games in 12 days, which will include three back-to-backs, all on one day rest.

We're young, but its gonna be a tough push.

as a fan, it'll be fun having so many games that matter.

CBJ needs to make the playoffs badly. We fans need it.

Eastern Conference Playoff implications tonight:

Tampa Bay @ Toronto

Tampa is clinging to the 3rd spot in the Eastern Atlantic. Toronto trails by one point but has played 2 more games to this point.

It will be a fun one tonight at the Air Canada Centre.

Opening faceoff at 7:05 on Sun Sports, RDS2 or TSN.
