Nothing personal CanFan, but Go Bolts. But above all, no Bettman points.

I thought we were gonna get a hockey game but a baseball game broke out:

3-2 Thunder gods after 1

I cannot wait to watch Stamkos on a regular basis soon.

Hat trick 6 minutes into the 2nd.

I'm not watching the game, but how bad was the game misconduct for boarding on Alex Killorn on Paul Ranger?

Pretty brutal.

Game misconduct obviously, he down for about 10 minutes but was moving after a bit. Was out cold for a minute or so.

Dangerous, and will be fined.

But it did look like he was changing direction other wise it wouldn't have been as bad or even a penalty at all.

Blackhawks completely outplaying the Blues through 2, up 2-0.

Central is by far the toughest division in the NHL.

Damn, I wanted to bet on Chicago so bad but went with Colorado +1.5 instead. Gonna hit either way but still.

Malkin is a bitch. Goes down like a rag doll at any contact. Acts like a bitch at the end of the game..

Blues beat Pens 1-0.

Where did Malkin learn this from? Cindy Crosby. Both of those bums are the 2 worst floppers in the NHL.

I watched a NBC Sports special detailing the Coors Stadium outdoor game between Blackhawks & Pens. This game was right after the Olympics & Crosby took a dive on some play trying to get a penalty called & Toews skates over to Crosby afterwards & calls him out on it. Crosby's comeback was priceless in his little whiny voice he states "I thought we were team mates & friends?"

The race for the final playoff spots in the East is getting ridiculous. Flyers won 5 straight, Rangers 3, Detroit is 3-0-1 in their last four and the Caps are 2-0-1. Meanwhile, the Leafs can't beat anyone.

5 teams are still within 2 points of the playoff line either way. There are 5 teams separated by 4 points (and 6 by 5), fighting for 3 spots.

Boston and St. Louis are the first two teams to clinch. The Blues are still in a race with the Sharks for the #1 seed but it's pretty much over in the East. The B's have put this one to bed.

The East got even closer:

Four teams are tied 80 points. Two are in the playoffs, two are out (due to games in hand). The final 8-9 games are gonna be great. What a race.

Yeah man, it will be interesting to see who makes it and who gets left out. In the east I think you can basically include the Flyers, Rangers, Detriot, Caps, Toronto and Columbus all competing for the 2 divisional and 2 wildcard spots. Basically only 4 points seperating those 6 teams. There will be blood in the streets of Toronto if they don't make it, but they have the least amount of games remaining so they have a lower margin for error.

Hopefully we can have a year without Rangers Caps in the first round.

West is pretty much set, basically up to Dallas and Phoenix for the last wildcard, with Vancouver with an outside shot.

The Flyers and the Rangers are nervous, but they should be in so long as they don't utterly collapse. The Rangers have 9 games left. Let's say they go and play pretty poorly down the stretch and go 2-6-1. That's still 5 points and would put them at 89. That would likely miss, but 2-5-2 would get them to 90 and due to tiebreaks over both C-bus and Washington, those teams still need to earn 11 points over 9 games to pass them, which is 5-3-1.

I don't rule it out, but the sheer number of teams in it means it is unlikely ALL of them go on a massive run. If either the Jackets or Caps play 500 hockey, the Rags and Flyers are in.

NEVER underestimate either team's ability to collapse Too many unknowns there. If Torts was still in charge you'd risk crazy changes to lineup combinations and benching of Nash and giving Henrik some rest. Not sure about this new coach. Sending Cally to Tampa has lit a fire under the team, but that only lasts so long. Is Marty St. Louis a better leader? Who knows.

I would think Caps find a way, but WTF do I know, I am going off of previous years resumes. Just seems that the top end of their talent is so good they should be able to pull the rest of the guys up with them. Since moving I see a lot more Chicago, Dallas, and St. Louis games so I don't see them as often.

The upside is not having to see any Devils games, so that's a plus.
