Stars beat Blues in their building 3-2 OT. Good response from the Stars after last nights scare.

Watched the last few minutes of the 3rd and OT of that game, great game and response. HUGE win.

They haven't been out of the second round in over 15 years. They haven't improved the defense..ever. Once again there is a new goalie in the mix. They've continued to surround Ovie with a bunch of over achieving third liners sticking them in first and second line roles. I could go on. This team missed their chance. Green should've been traded a year ago. This team is broken. Kolzig ruined any positive attributes Holtby had. There is a reason I haven't posted much this season. This team isn't going anywhere. Ive saved myself a lot of time by not watching them as much this year. Its the same old song and dance.

Blues up 5-2 against Edmonton.
Colorado beats Chicago to take 2ND in the Central yesterday.
This is a really great time of the year in the NHL watching all these battles for playoff spots and seeds.

Went to my first NHL game tonight, Panthers-Lightning, had an absolute blast and it was so much better then on TV. May look into season tickets for next season since i'll be finished up in Tally soon

Lightning are really struggling right now.
Beat Florida but still didn't look grewf,514. Not sure what's wrong with them right now.

I dropped my season tickets after the lockout out of principle. It really is awesome to see live though.

Leafs win again, this Western road swing has been a real surprise for me, I hate to ask Baloo but do you think you could take an impartial look into my club? I feel like I am starting to believe in the Loafs again and thats not good...

The fancy stats hate the Leafs. They are one of the worst possession teams in hockey, and Toronto is proudly against all advanced metrics. Which is cool, as you can win by zigging when everyone is zagging (SEE Chicago White Sox), but the problem is: the basic concept of the fancy stats is something old school hockey fans have always valued: control the puck and tilt the ice in your favor.
The Leafs have a terrific first line, but not a whole lot of depth after that. Unless they get an absurd goalie performance, I think they are bound for an early exit.
That said, I'm convinced the Bruins are light years ahead of everyone in the East. If the B's lose, it's a pretty open tourney and anyone can win the East. I don't think anyone is significantly better than the Leafs outside of the Bruins (and maybe the Rangers)... but the Bruins are that much better than everyone.

Thanks, good reality check...thing is I know the leafs can beat the Bruins, there is just something about that match-up the Leafs are really tough away too, I think the Bruins know they were damned lucky last year in the playoffs to get by the Leafs and Randy has been asked why he didnt call a timeout after the 2nd goal....such a young team I think if they draw the Bruins they get it done this year...

Sharks have finally run down the Ducks, hope we got enough gas to pass them and keep going.

Ducks @ Avs tonight @ 8:00 CST
Who would've thought that the Colorado Avalanche would have 91 points with 16 games remaining?

Not me. Roy has done a great job there. Go Avs, keep the Ducks sliding backward.

Yeah it was a weird game cause they started out playing sloppy D at the very beginning, settled down, and then allowed 2 quick goals in the final minuteish.
Good to see Stamkos get going though
