On the plus side we won't have to watch the Oilers piss away a Cup opportunity again this year. Just a lot of mediocre play outside of your top 2.

Now I just need the Habs to win one more... dirty, I know

Derian Hatcher should wreck Benn’s shite for his half assed captaincy the last few years.

No sympathy for Oilers fans. I'm not a fan of the Quacks but props to them for bursting the McJesus bubble. Signed, me and every other LA Kings fan.

Matthew is happy right where he is. The other poster above was referring to Brady. Who still hasn't won a playoff series. And is signed for 2 more years. And whose trade value will never be higher than what it is now.

Total brain fart. I tend to forget Brady because he plays for Ottawa

I truly do not envy Connor McDavid.
Way too much of a province, and really an entire nation, has their hopes and dreams tied to this guy. He can't live up to the ridiculous expectations that have been placed on him.
And to finish a silver medal to the US, and have his team get knocked out in the first round, with the likelihood that their window is closing, that pressure this off-season will be insane.

He had a great statement that anybody watching the NHL all year could agree with: "when you have an average team with great expectations, it will end in disappointment"
The team won 3 games in a row just once all year, defense and goaltending got worse, they were just continually bailed out by their stars.
They played above their level the past two playoffs, aided by playing a beaten up Dallas twice and God-mode Skinner that showed up occasionally.
Jarry is still under that terrible contract and Drai/Bouch/Nurse are eating up so much cap even with it rising. The team just isn't deep enough.
The result isn't surprising, I just didn't think the Ducks would be the one to take them out

I wonder what McDavids injury is. Never seen him fumble the puck so much.

I’m looking forward to this Flyers Canes series after taking a look at the regular season. What a crazy 4 games they had.

If Sabres don’t win tonight , game 7 in Buffalo is going to be a fricking pressure cooker
Posted on 5/1/26 at 10:08 am to lsupride87
Yeah, let's hope the Sabres can close it out tonight and Utah can force a Game 7
Don't really care what happens in Tampa Montreal since that has been an amazing series, but I'm really tired of hearing Jon Cooper bitch and whine. Thus, go Montreal.

I've hated Tampa Bay since the days when they were a division rival with Atlanta, and the Thrashers would play them 12 times a year. As a result, I can't stand Martin St Louis. But Cooper is so deeply unlikeable, especially after the US beat Canada for Gold, that I honestly hope the Habs knock them off.
Just shut up, Cooper. If your team is better, prove it.

I never realized how aggravating he was until the SCF in 2022 after the "too many men" BS on the OT Kadri goal.
He just whines and whines about calls and unfortunately the refs give in quite often - look how many terrible makeup and game management calls have happened in this series especially after Montreal scores.
It makes complete sense that he's a lawyer.

retain almost the entire same roster.
This core has been together for what 5+ years?
They need to shake things up. They don’t have physical people on that squad.
Bischel is a 6’8” monster but plays like he’s 5’8”. Just an example.

Hoping to see the Mammoth force a Game 7 tonight
