Congrats Canes. Hate the fricking way they play hockey , but they were the better team. Caps have a five year window now with this rebuild on the fly. Need to get faster and drop Carlson. He’s too old and slow now.

Give me the Panthers. Canes are a system team that lacks true game breaking talent outside of one player. They aren’t ever going to win it all under Rod. Thats why Rantanen wanted out. Stars winning it all though. Canes play aggressive as shite and throw pucks on net and hope to get lucky. It works a lot of the time but isn’t enough to win it all.

The Canes still don’t have that clutch scoring - it’s the same guys that failed to get it done the last few years plus Hall and Stank

I meant his podcast. He and John Shannon (former producer of Hockey Night In Canada) had their own show that I liked. But I haven't seen any new episodes in a long time. I knew McCown took a health absence for awhile. He eventually returned. But didn't sound the same. So I don't know if he retired or what.

To be fair, Caps willed themselved to a playoff berth riding the the high of Ovi getting the goal record. They weren't going to make a legitimate run. Panthers shite the bed down the final week of games and lost home ice, but they showed up now when it matters.
