West Monroe sweeps Natchitoches Central 5-2, 4-2, 11-0. Minimum 21 straight district wins for WM. I don't know how 2014 ended.

5A is loaded. Lafayette, Barbe, Sulphur, Sam Houston, Catholic, Destrehan, Brother Martin, West Monroe, Airline, Curtis...any of them could win it all.

Destrehan keeps rolling. 6-0 in district behind great pitching. 3 of the last 6 wins have been 1 hitters.

HC is back to where they were... they've never been really a juggernaught in anything recently. they're at their ceiling in 5A. they might host a playoff game but don't look for them at state

In terms of Destrehan, Mire is probably the best coach in the state and he has been able to get great production from starting pitchers for years.

Mire is a great coach.... but that is kind of a slight on about 12-14 other coaches with a lot of skins on the wall.....
