Start of last year Barbe and Sulphur put beat downs on WM to start the year. I think the total was 19 to 0 in those games. OCS finally showed up Saturday. Bit of a rivalry game as those kids have played with and against each other for years. The star of the day is best friends with 3-4 on WMs team, lives in same neighborhood, and played together since they were 8.

Nephew did hit one over the American Flag in CF the first pitch he saw against Captain Shreve after the OCS debacle. So it wasn't all bad Saturday. I've seen farther balls hit, but I think that's the first one I've seen to dead center at WM. 400ft and that big wall

Wrong kid. He sat that game. He's typically the CF for WM. Played catcher for those Thunder teams and plays catcher still during travel ball. Rummel game was the one Sim said he was resting guys, long season, wants to build his roster up for district/playoffs.

Umps strike zone killed Perrin, had to be down the middle to get a strike call. Destrehan played well today.

I agree his strike zone was tight.

Danny Rheem and Ken Trahan kept bringing it up. Austin doesn't have the velocity to throw it right down the middle belt high all day, he has to hit corners and move the ball around the zone. I'm more disappointed in Hahnville's hitters, not much in that lineup to worry about. Destrehan played a good game yesterday and their hitters showed good discipline to lay off the low "strikes" and corner pitches.

Perrin has been able to consistently throw pitches on the black since he was 10 year's old.

John Ehret beat Chalmette 2-1 on the West Bank for a major upset... they'll probably host the district tournament now in three weeks
