OBJ only owed $7.25M the rest of the year if claimed off waivers.

But he will be a FA after the 2021 year so it’s only a half-year rental.
Several teams have that cap space currently available:
Jacksonville Jaguars
Philadelphia Eagles
Denver Broncos
Seattle Seahawks
Carolina Panthers
Los Angeles Chargers
Pittsburgh Steelers
Washington Football Team
Cincinnati Bengals
And Houston Texans, Green Bay Packers, Minnesota Vikings, Dallas Cowboys, New York Jets, Buffalo Bills and New England Patriots are all within $3 million of that $7.25 million mark.
How funny would it be if Cincinnati added him to go along with Burrow, Chase, Higgins and Boyd? Cleveland plays Cincinnati this weekend but ends the season at home vs the Bengals.

For a shitty locker room cancer. What a deal.

He may be a headcase but he can definitely help a team this year.

I'll take it for 8 games.

I was thinking that, but I heard something from Florio/Peter King this morning that they thought Cleveland would add some bonus incentive items on the buyout or something so teams would pass on him.

Possibly.
Tomlin reigned in dudes like Antonio Brown and LeVeon Bell while they were in Pittsburgh.
But Rothelisberger isn’t the QB he once was. I say he goes to Cincinnati if he drops that far.

Isn’t he hurt?
He’s been dealing with a shoulder issue but he has played the last 6 games.

I can see chargers, steelers, Bengals, panthers doing it.

Darnold already has 2 quality receivers that he can’t get the ball to.

That’s a lot of money in this scenario

He’s likely not going to get claimed because of that money

Kaepernick would call this modern day slavery

It’s a move to let him get through waivers and pick his own team.

Only?.....good grief.

Love him but sadly, he’s done. Caught up in some shite. Sad.

Why would half of those teams, who have no chance of making the playoffs, pick up that cost?

Aren’t the Browns helped if someone takes him off waivers ?
Are they thinking offset language or something? Also why would OBJ let them include BS bonuses that limit his choices?

Hasn’t had a 100 yard receiving game in over two years. Last time he had 100 yards in a game this late in a season was 2016. He’s a bum.
