Some idiot did that on our middle school basketball team back in the day. Bro thought he had a wide open breakaway until he made it and realized everyone was just standing there like wtf are you doing

I did this once in middle school. After the tip off the referee realized he had us shooting on the wrong baskets and blew the whistle and told us we were going to flip sides. I assumed he blew the whistle for a foul and missed what he said as the coach was telling me what play to call. The other team was pressing and when the ball was inbounded to me, I layed it up as if it was an inbounds play under the basket.

Because there's a massive talent disparity in women's college sports. Unlike the men's teams, there is an incredible drop off after the top 20 or so women's programs. Remember, there are 350+ women's basketball teams in Division 1. Some of the bottom tier teams are giving scholarships to pretty much any high school girl that sends in an application.
