Was this the first game of his career that he didn’t make it out of the 1st inning?

Center fielder screwed him. He had a pop up and misplayed it.

It's literally how the guy is coached to play it in that situation/scenario, the exit velo is the reason he looked so dumb. A ball on that trajectory should typically travel 275-300 feet, instead that went ~375. And there's no way for a CF to recognize/adjust until it's over 2B
Center fielders make this catch literally every single day of the MLB season.
College center fielders make this play.
If you can't judge a ball hit at you as a professional CF, then you don't belong in CF.
Let me know when any other CF in the MLB takes a step forward, pauses, then realizes the ball is going over his head this year. This is the kind of stuff you see in high school from a bad CF, b/c a good high school CF makes that play.
Your comments make you sound like someone who never played sports after 12 years old b/c you are unathletic and sucked.
Quit acting like this was a 1 in a million type hit. It was a routine line drive to CF dumbass.

Its clear yall didnt watch the game, he wasnt sharp but his CF misplayed two outs that counted as hits...the second one with the bases loaded due to the first one and it cleared the bases. They were counted as hits but both should have been outs.

Bingo. Dude is overthinking the strategy thing. Plus, it was the first inning. That impacts what strategy may or may not have been called.

Oh cool, they finally posted the statcast.
Exit Velo 103.0 LA 20 carry 368' xBA 0.543 xSLG 1.169 xwOBA 0.713
Yep, Skenes CF sure let him down. GTFO moron, that ball was hammered. 2nd hardest hit changeup Skenes has ever thrown

Besides the big arm, Cruz sucks at OF.

Jake Mangum makes both those plays with ease! Meanwhile they have him sitting on the bench watching it happen…

you get the frick out of here dumbass.
you think your statcast proves something for you?
There were 51,089 balls hit last year over 95mph. they weren't all home runs, and they weren't all ground balls. plenty of line drives hit right at outfielders. You expect some RF or LF who doesn't belong in the field but he's out there b/c he can hit to do something stupid like that. You rarely if ever see a CF misjudging a ball like this, b/c CF are typically the best athletes on the team along with your SS.
Cruz sucks, and you are literally the only idiot on this earth who is saying that wasn't Cruz's fault. What he did was little league shite, not professional CF.

You're the only moron not describing those as misplays.
Congrats?
Congrats?

Yeah and the second misplay where Cruz missed an easy pop up wasnt his fault either. Skenes was hit so hard that the ball had unimaginable topspin causing it to curve hard at the last second. Cruz had perfect strategical placement.

Imagine believing two lazy fly balls missed by a professional CF weren’t misplayed.
