It blows my mind people are surprised by this.

This was inevitable. I’m surprised this didn’t happen the day after Texas Tech announced their revenue sharing with 95% going to football and men’s basketball.

Last week of Biden administration. Trump administration can make a different interpretation. The chevron ruling also say congress and courts make the rules, not bureaucracy.

No. If we know one thing it’s that you have no idea what the frick you’re talking about on this subject.

Remember how you said athletes were getting nothing prior to all of this? Then why is this auburn swimmer worried about having to pay $30k/year when roster limits are inevitably implemented?

Why don’t high school students get paid. There’s gate revenue and concessions.

Amateur sports are supposed to be amateur. You don’t have to play if you don’t like the system.

Because the gate revenues and concessions don’t cover the cost of running the program.

But if they have a large social following and can leverage their name, image. And likeness to make money, they should be able to.

That’s not what the college football system is. They’re being paid to play. Not through being popular on social media.

States will sue or just flat-out ignore this. The Biden Department of Ed has pushed out a ton of trans bullshite, too, that only a few states are abiding by.

Precisely. This "guidance" is relevant for 5 more days. It's actually silly to even report it without immediately stating this obvious fact.

The school brands generate it. The players don’t

They both generate value, which is the point. What an absurd statement

“financial assistance,” which “must be made proportionately available to male and female athletes” or risk violating Title IX.
Tired of this absolute BS. Women are getting around two out of every three college degrees. Boys are falling behind in many areas in K-12 academics and all we see is this crap. Women aren’t oppressed in any way. Any gender pay gap that exists is for a good reason. Either the sports men play make more money, men work longer hours(later in life), and work more dangerous jobs(also later in life).
