Have you seen who runs Nike now?

You have your Vuori, Lululemon, and Athleta type athleisure companies for clothes.
You have Hoka, On Clouds, Brooks, Asics, Saucony, Altra, etc. for running shoes.
The only market they seem to dominate still is basketball.
Not to mention you can walk into any Academy and see a plain Nike dri-fit shirt for $40-60 or a BCG shirt that feels and wears the same for $15. That's a no brainer especially for kids.

A lot of things come and go in a lifetime though there are some exceptions. It's just the way it is

that really is how some people here think.
the kaepernick thing was in 2018. their stock didn't start dropping til covid shut down shipping industry and they decided to reduce their physical presence in stores in 2021.
Adidas, Under Armor, Puma all experienced really similar drops since 2021 as well.

Pretty sure the last ceo made the decision to shrink their floor space in stores thinking everything would be online. Found out they were wrong and can’t get that space back

To be honest, their shoes suck.

Death by a thousand paper cuts. They should have gone full Coca-Cola and offered to buy these companies while they were small, leverage their supply chain expertise, and nipped it before it was a problem.

When you are #1 in your market, everyone is taking their shots at you. Ask Sears & Montgomery Ward what happened when Walmart took aim.

prolly due to spot-bilt making a comeback...

Why’s it so hard for you people to admit that this plays a role

Bottom line a shoe has to be comfortable. Nike sucks in that department compared to those other brands. People have finally come to realize that and now have plenty of other options
