They made a lot of terrible business decisions, alienated shoe stores that sold their products, plus the woke stuff probably didnt help.

You have your Vuori, Lululemon, and Athleta type athleisure companies for clothes.
You have Hoka, On Clouds, Brooks, Asics, Saucony, Altra, etc. for running shoes.
The only market they seem to dominate still is basketball.

Pretty sure the last ceo made the decision to shrink their floor space in stores thinking everything would be online. Found out they were wrong and can’t get that space back.

Yep, that is the answer, along with the brands like Lululemon and Vuori for athleisure, to a lesser extent.
The fitness pie is expanding but there are many more slices.
