LSU fans normally pull for teams outside state because all we had here early on was NFL. no MLB, NHL and NBA left in late 70s until it returned with hornets/peliclowns.
i wish houston had a NHL team so i could go watch my habs play there. i miss the old ECHL games here. we used to have 3 teams in state before they all collapsed.

Why not go to Dallas? I’d go to the Arena/CheckerDome/Kiel to go see them. I also went to Reunion to see them once. I also saw Modano score 4 vs Edmonton in Reunion.

It’s an easy drive from NOLA area I think. NOLA to Lafayette to Shreveport to Dallas.

Stars games are on Fox Sports Southwest. Most cable packages in LA carry it. Seems like a logical reason...Stars are probably the only NHL team most sports fans in Louisiana can watch pretty much every game for during regular season.
