What's wrong with everyone on the roster having an effect on the outcome of the game?
You just said that they already do...whats wrong with the impact they already do have on the game

Defenses should be allowed to score on 2 point conversions. It's bullshite that on one play & only this play, 1/2 the players on the field can't score. Use the college rule.

I would require players to at least attempt to wrap up in tackles while also reducing the amount of body armor.

NFL Rule Change...What would you do?I'd like to see an experiment, in preseason, that FGs are worth one point for every ten yards. Goal line to 10 yd. line - 1 point 10-20 yd line - 2 points, etc. I would like to see just how much this might change third and fourth down strategy.
I like this idea...why is a 20 yard field go worth the same as a 50 yarder.

Also extend the posts as there are too many issues when the kicks go too high over he posts.

The same reason a QB sneak is worth as much as a 99 yard bomb.

Your saying reward a team more for being stopped on the 35 than one that got to the 1?

One thing I'd do is common sense:
Extend the chains forward instead of "half the distance to the goal" on a penalty when an offense is backed up near their own goalline. That way a holding call is still 10 yards, instead of, say, a yard if a team is on its own 2 yard line.

The first thing I would change is to that when a player fumbles the ball and it goes into and out of the end zone it currently counts as a touch back and the other team gains possession. This is the only place on the field where possession changes on a fumble out of bounds, which is screwed up. I say make fumbling out of the end zone a 10 yard penalty from the spot of the fumble with loss of down.
ETA: Actually let's just make fumbling forward into the end zone a 10 yard, loss of down penalty. If the defense gets it they can decline the penalty. That way you can't score by fumbling forward, but it doesn't kill your drive either.

i think the defense has too many advantages in todays game
1. you can only blitz one player every 4 plays...you can only play man coverage the other 3 downs.
2. your defensive lineman must count to 3 mississippi's before rushing the quarterback
3. qb spike in the pocket(simply dead ball) must protect the players.
anyone of these 3 rule changes would change the game for the better IMO...more enjoyable, more watchable, more homophobic football.

Put the rules back to what they were 20-30 years ago and just let them knock the crap out of each other without throwing a flag every other time a defender touches a QB's head with his pinkie finger.

Get rid of helmets or go back to a super thin version.

The only thing I would change is allowing DBs to make contact beyond 5 yards and changing pass interference to at most a 15 yard penalty

Go to all single bar face masks. You want safety? You want guys to stop using their head as a weapon? Take the cage off their face and quit fricking with the rules.

I'm sure some people will disagree with me here but I hate all the formation rules
Nothing more infuriating than seeing a stupid penalty because some offensive tackle was 4 inches too far back in his stance and they consider him off the line.
