The rule I hate the most is half the distance to the goal on an offensive penalty. Just move the sticks forward an appropriate amount.

A high profile team is gonna lose because the other team got the 3rd possession after both teams score and then the complaint will be that it isn’t fair both teams don’t get the ball an equal amount of times.

Why does it suck?
Holding in the defensive backfield is pretty impossible to play through. I'd much rather address it for illegal contact.

What if the team that gets the ball first goes on a drive of say, 9:57, and kicks the game winning FG or scores a TD as time expires, does the other team still get the ball?

10 minutes is dumb. Just do another 15 minute quarter. Muh player safety that 5 less minutes will be a difference maker when you have to turn around and play on Thursday night!
