I figured that was a given. The Bills didn't even stay in Cincinnati, from what I read somewhere.

Tough spot for the NFL to be in.

Either way, this game has to be played right?

They are going with the “let’s hope and pray the Bengals lose, bills win, and chiefs lose” approach this weekend. Hence the “no decision has been made” statement

Or chiefs win, bills lose, bengals lose combo.

If either of the above doesn’t happen, they will push the playoffs back and play the game in week 19, which they contractually have in case of emergency I beleive

Good, I’m sure the players don’t want to play it this week.

This is getting a bit ridiculous. The pearl clutching about how the NFL handled this is so overblown. The game needs to be played. The player is alive. Move forward.

Seriously doubt this happens.

They are looking at a major shite show if they don’t replay the game if the ravens win or the bills win this weekend

“Buffalo, congrats on rallying to beat the Pats. After further thought, instead of getting the bye to rally around your community with homefield, we are taking that away because we just couldn’t make a decision fast enough. Sorry. YOLO”

Or

“Ravens, congrats on beating the bengals this weekend. But sorry, they don’t have to play maybe the best team in football. We are giving them the division while playing one less game than you”

that's why punting is a God awful plan but Goodell is sackless so this isn't surprising.

the NFL should have had a protocol in place for a situation like this.

if Bills can’t make the game up, they should forfeit, simple as that

Another shame is how much that game could have helped Joe Burrow (or josh allen) win the NFL MVP this year.

Does it? Doesn’t this game effectively just affect seeding? I feel like that decision could be made after next weeks games.

This is a unique circumstance. If I were a decision maker I would let the teams elect after next weeks games if they will play, call it a draw or if one team willing and other isn’t to call it a forfeit. Maybe even make that decision now. I may be missing something but not sure why it needs to be played.

Keeping up with the decision making last night, seems like it was mutual to not go back out. Call it a draw and live with it.

Dez Bryant just tweeted that you need to be canceled ASAP.

Has the nfl gave them an opportunity to “make it up”?

that still wouldn't change the Super Bowl date. The SB used to be played one week after the AFC and NFC championships. I prefer it that way.

Before this I would have said NBA players are the most soft pampered players in the world...now I might say it's the NFL

I just want the downvoter to know that his virtue signal has been well received and noted.

I don't know about Allen, but if we've learned anything about Burrow is that he doesn't give a shite about any of that.

It’s so small in the grand scheme of things, but how do you decide fantasy match ups? Like, what if you needed 15 points from Joe Burrow and now that game is not going to be played and you’re someone in a league worth thousands of dollars?
