Mexico City for any American sport would be a disaster. Toronto and other Canadian sports already struggle because of the taxes imposed by the national government, but at least it’s apart of modern western civilization.

Mexico City is still somewhat third world. No one who wasn’t desperate would go there.

Minnesota used to be in the East. Makes sense to create a division with Minny, Milwaukee, Detroit, Chicago.

POR, SEA, SAC, GS

LAC, LAL, PHX, LV

Having a Mexico City team would be great. Have ICE camp out at all of their road games in the US to pick off illegals.

Yep. In 2013.

At any rate, we don’t need the NBA. The Billikens, Mizzou, and the Illini satisfy our basketball fix.

KC has a nice arena for the NBA/NHL.

That is a beautiful arena. I assume it was built with the intent to get NBA or NHL. It’s been there for 17 years and the big event is the Big 12 Tourney? Damn…

Those all make a ton of sense, but it starts getting difficult after that (IMO). What happens with Utah, OKC, Denver, the Texas trio?

I feel like Shreveport needs some serius consideration for an nba team. They have consistently shown up and shown out for major events in the city. I can just imagine an arena right on the water next to tue beautiful golden horeshoe casino. Would bring in some major money to the city too!

That'd be in Bossier baw.

I would welcome an NBA team in Bossier. There would be TENS of us in the stands each night.

I feel like San Diego, Tampa, and Pittsburgh would all get some pretty big pushback from existing franchise owners, i mean governors, that already have existing teams about 100 miles away.

Agree; but there's literally no one in Pittsburgh that roots for the Cavaliers or any Cleveland based team. So it's not like there's a real market for the Cavs in Western PA. The next closest NBA franchise is over 300 miles away.

That said, Pittsburgh will likely never get an NBA team. That ship sailed long ago.

League should be contracting, not expanding.

What I think we could see:

SEA POR SAC GSW
LAL LAC PHO LV
DEN UT MIN OKC
DAL HOU SA MEM/NO

NO/MEM ATL MIA ORL
MIL CHI IND DET
CHA WAS CLE TOR
BOS PHI NY BKL

If Minny goes East:

SEA POR SAC GSW
LAL LAC PHO LV
DEN UT OKC DAL
HOU SA MEM NO

CHA ATL MIA ORL
MIL MIN CHI IND (or MIL MIN DET TOR)
DET WAS CLE TOR (or WAS CLE IND CHI)
BOS PHI NY BKL

They don't need to expand, if anything they need to contract. Heck, there weren't but 14 of the 30 team that had a record over .500 this year

Would Seattle get the SuperSonics name back

Yes. That was why OKC got the thunder. A group retained the naming rights when the team left and when they come back they’ll get the name back. It was part of the agreement when the team moved
