Do you actually believe what you wrote? Do you really think Newman didn’t know something was different when its whole basketball team was on scholarship? And these schools are not ignorant - they know the professions of each parent of kids enrolled.

you’d think a school full of the upper class like Newman wouldn’t be fine with a program cheating and embarrassing them… that’s better left to po’ folks like us. Newman people are supposed to be winning at life when we work for them.

Schools know who’s is on aid / they do not know who is actually paying the tuition bill. Tuition sugar daddies stay hidden - Also 2 kids on that team yall think ain’t paying tuition most certainly are. Take a snap shot of their administration and see who isn't there a year from now it no changes school didn't know.

2.4 FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE 2.4.1 If tuition is charged, it must be paid by parents, legal guardian, or other relative. If a parent, guardian, or other relative secures a loan for payment of tuition, it must remain an obligation of the parent, guardian, or other relative to repay the principal and interest in full with no exceptions. Schools that charge tuition may administer school-based financial assistance programs for students who attend those schools. Financial assistance is defined as funds from various sources that are administered and provided by a school to students to pay or assist in paying costs directly related to their education at the school. Financial assistance must be totally unrelated to a student’s athletic interest, potential or performance.

2.4.2 School administered financial assistance provided by a school must be administered by the school; meaning that the school, through an established process that conforms to this policy, makes the final determination of the student who is to receive the assistance and the amount of assistance to be given. No student-athlete may accept financial assistance from any other person, business or organization unless it is received from one upon whom the student-athlete is naturally or legally dependent.

2.4.3 Criteria for Providing School-based Financial Assistance: Financial assistance must be based entirely on financial need. The amount of financial assistance for which a student is determined to qualify must meet the same guidelines of financial assistance which is provided to each and every student who qualifies for financial assistance. Financial assistance must be totally unrelated to a student’s athletic interest, potential or performance. Financial assistance based even partially on a student’s athletic interest, potential or performance shall be prohibited. In order to determine the basis for need, effective January 2015, all schools awarding financial aid shall use an LHSAA-recognized agency as approved by the Executive Committee. The use of any unapproved agency shall render the student ineligible.

owl.... that mentions nothing of person A. hiring parent B and providing the with housing and additional "pay" for their kid to live in a "zone" and pay tuition unbeknownst to the school being paid tuition... It happened blatantly a few years back in BR and 2 other locales..... if you wanna meet for lunch I can tell you how it's done....

and nobody at the schools knew.

Not hard to figure out. Football is next. I can count how many minorities went to Newman to play basketball on one hand before he took over.

Reminds me of those years in the mid to late 90’s when Parkview’s basketball team acquired some badass players and all of a sudden started winning championships ??

Upper Level and AAU Youth basketball is corrupt and full of scandal.

It's a fine example of when you let Democrats run things

Per Garland Gillen, Randy Livingston is now suing the LSHAA claiming they violated his due process.

What’s he suing for? Did the LHSAA take the trophies back?

Quick question, under the handbook, what due process is he entitled to? Or does he think he plays by his own rules and not the LHSAA

And that suit was filed in Orleans. Isn’t it a requirement that all litigation involving the LHSAA be filed now in EBR parish?

Again, what’s he suing for? Has he been fired? Lost wages?

Seems like he wants “due process” (time on the clock) to coach this season and act like his program is squeaky clean.

Has McGuire at Country Day ever been in trouble or accused of this type of thing?
