Quarterback is terrible. Missing badly on several open receivers. Holding the ball far too long.

I'm watching and have PTSD from LSU over the past 2 years.
I've said this many times. NC State is the most underachieving sports program in the country. They have so much potential and a great, supportive fan base but they annually achieve nothing in football, men's basketball and baseball. I lived in Raleigh for 8 years and could not find a way to support that university because it all ends in disappointment.

He's very bad.
Bjork tried to hire Doeren at Ole Miss after he fired Freeze and fans went into revolt so he punted and stuffed us with Matt Luke. I'm so glad Bjork is gone.

CJ Bailey? I didn't watch a second of the game but CJB was an absolute stud last season.
He would have been one of the top 3 QBs in the portal
I know they had a ton of offense transfer out and he was the only one who stayed, for whatever reason

I have lost interest. I used to know who played where, but it is just a speed dating service now.

They lost like every offensive skill player to the portal and replaced them with low major guys. It showed. The receivers couldn’t get open, which didn’t help CJ Bailey who also did not play well

I agree. NC State is the biggest what if in college sports, especially college football. The fan support and facilities are there. For college football, they have access to recruits in North Carolina, South Carolina and Virginia, more than enough to have a really good team. And they have the best fan base in North Carolina.
I've always said I preferred NC State and Virginia Tech over UNC and UVA. UNC and UVA are the wine and cheese crowd, and it'll be oil and water in terms of interacting with other SEC fan bases. Plus with UNC and UVA you'll get the same arrogance you've gotten with Texas.
NC State and Virginia Tech have much more SEC type fan bases, and get you into the North Carolina and Virginia markets. Heck for football Virginia Tech has the significantly better fanbase than UVA and I would say even NC State has a bigger fanbase for football than UNC.
I don't think many in SEC country truly understand how many UNC and UVA fans only care about basketball (and to some extent baseball) but could care less about football. For UNC and UVA, football is largely just something to pass the time before basketball season starts.
But yeah everything is there for NC State to be a big player in football. Passionate SEC type fan base, good recruiting base and not a lot of in state competition. And you see the flashes of it with the 2021 baseball team that went to the College World Series and the 2024 men's basketball team winning the ACC and going to the Final Four. But they just can't get out of their own way overall.

OL and run game looked awesome. Hard to tell if Pribula can lead them to wins if teams start stacking the box.
