They don’t want to win as much as him. If Kai wanted to win as much as him he would have done what he needed to do to play.

If Durant can’t carry Jim, no one can. Embiid isn’t going to put up with him for too long. He might break him mentally.

If they started too low, they wouldn’t have gotten a nominal star.

Getting a superstar in return probably evens out that ask.

I remember how many people wanted to act like Simmons was going to have zero value as an asset after the end of last season.
