Spurs are shipping to Philly, imo.
Fultz with Chip England(shooting coach) + Bayless/Dario/RoCo combo and a pick or two.
Spurs get upside and a proven commodity (RoCo fits very well there)
The Sixers have been really clear Fultz is off limits. There's no bidding war, so why would they come off that?
LA isn't putting in Ingram, the Celts aren't putting in Brown, Tatum, Kyrie or Hayward and the Sixers aren't putting in Embiid, Simmons or Fultz. Less than a week into FA, I don't see why any of them should change that. There's nothing imminent and time is on the buyers side.

Well it would be a minimum signing, so no.
It was a joke because your team needs wings and is now looking at Nick Young, and apparently "Ariza isn't a big loss".

But he's clearly been way more effective at the 5, so there's no point in actively trying to play him at a position he's worse at.
Right, in today's NBA it's almost always better to play up a position if you can. i.e. Davis at the 5 rather than the 4. Draymond at the 4/5 rather than the 3, etc...

Houston is gonna want Swaggy P's championship experience.

I'd do Bayless, Saric, Covington, Bolden, 2 1sts. I think that gets Kawhi to Philly. Bayless would be bought out methinks in that scenario.

The Lakers will offer Ingram if the Sixers get involved and the spurs would take that imo

Its really hard to respond to these things because they're so stupid.
You REALLY think Nick Young is going to be Trevor Ariza's replacement? You think the Executive of the Year is really that stupid?
Dont be so obtuse.
Morey, like all good GMs, is meeting with players, and getting the lay of the land.
I'm pretty sure once Capela is matched Morey will actually move to start signing people.

Does a restricted free agent have to the matched deal? I know they cannot sign with team that offered
Just what options does the players have

quote:Ariza is a loss as he was a decent 3 and D player. But people are making him out to be a better player than he is and acting like he’s irreplaceable. He’s not. I appreciated his time here but he was starting to slow down and it was just time to move on.

I don’t know what Morey’s plans are, but one thing he doesn’t do is sign a guy just to sign a guy. He doesn’t believe free agency is all or nothing like many people do. He sees it as one aspect of team building.
I wouldn’t doubt that he may not use the MLE in free agency and save it instead, and then use if something comes up such as a buyout. He will explore trades.
But he eventually comes across something good, and when that opportunity arises, he’s already prepared because he planned for it.
It’s one thing that I think makes Morey a great GM. He thinks ahead and doesn’t do things just because fans want him to. He’s not trying to win July, he’s making moves to give his team the best chance to win in May and June.

What do you think the Lakers are going to do at center? Bring back Lopez with the remaining cap space?
