Yes. The spurs will eventually bite the bullet and make the move. Only question is where

Yes. The Spurs won't let him walk for nothing. The question is when the Spurs realize people aren't panic-dealing and they stop trying to win the deal and start trying to mitigate their loss and get the most they can in return.

That will be after he plays a week or two. No one is going all in until he can once again be mvp kahwi.

And they will see that after a week?

Igor Kokoskov on Deandre Ayton playing some power forward: “He’ll never be a power forward in this league. He’s going to be one of the most dominant centers in this league and that’s how we’re going to build him.” That answers that.

The Spurs aren’t going to trade Kawhi for peanuts. Point blank period. He will resign in San Antonio and dominate the lakers for years, also I just watched the 2014 nba finals mini movie on YouTube lol

OKAY. LOL.
I don't really see the point in this comment. Everyone loves versatile players and if Ayton has the ability to play as a stretch 4 thats a major major asset not just offensively, but defensively as well assuming he can switch on to smaller players on defense.

Spurs are shipping to Philly, imo.
Fultz with Chip England(shooting coach) + Bayless/Dario/RoCo combo and a pick or two.
Spurs get upside and a proven commodity (RoCo fits very well there)
Spurs build around Fultz and Murray.
I don't think Boston bites because their team is pretty much intact, they are a Finals squad if healthy.
But trading him to Boston would be the ultimate middle finger to the Lakers lol

Well Ayton isn't a versatile player, he's a center.

Ayton should not be playing power forward in today’s NBA

Defensively, he's more a 5. The NBA is far less traditional in position roles. Let him be a stretch 5 who can hurt you from anywhere, basically a more athletic Boogie.
Forcing him as a 4 does the same thing to him as was an issue at Arizona. As a defender, he benefits from not being stuck on the perimeter. He got stuck on the perimeter because Dusan Ristic was more of a 5 and it hampered his D.
He can play a true center role and just add the ability to shoot it from the perimeter. Dude is 7'1, 265 with a 7'6 wingspan. He can handle the 5.

Obviously he's more athletic than some centers if he ends up having to step out to the perimeter to guard people, and hopefully his shot improves. But he's clearly been way more effective at the 5, so there's no point in actively trying to play him at a position he's worse at.
