Leonard’s pissy about the comments TP made about his injury
Which were innocuous, at best. TP basically just said he trusts the Spurs' med team and they helped him get back from an injury he felt was even worse than Kawhi's. Only someone with incredibly thin skin would take that as calling Kawhi out.
Or someone looking for an excuse to leave, I guess.

still have to think this is about money and the Super Max not being on the table. If the Super Max were on the table we shouldn't even be having this discussion.
Which makes me think there might be something more going on with the injury that isn't being disclosed. If it's a chronic thing, then of course SA wants that info, and of course we wouldn't offer the supermax.

Can someone following the draft tell me why Bagley is #2 now? When we got #3 in the lotto everyone said Doncic was a top 2 lock and now every Hawks news I’ve seen says we likely will get him at 3

Parker just spelled it out for everyone. Here’s a 35 year old returning from a ruptured quad tendon 2-3 months ahead of schedule, but Leonard shuts it dowb and flees to New York over a contusion.
And again it's so ironic that it's Parker who proved his mettle in this juxtaposition with Kawhi

Because the Kings are dumb and can not get out of their own way.
I’m a bit surprised Vlade is passing on the best Euro player to come over since Sabonis tho

I feel like people are starting to over-think Doncic. Dude should be the #1 pick. He's an athletic wing who can play point. Literally the most coveted skill set in the league right now. If Doncic busts, you at least were going for the right type of player in the modern NBA.

@wojespn:
Charlotte is finalizing a deal to send Dwight Howard to the Brooklyn Nets for Timofey Mozgov, league sources tell ESPN. Nets will save $17M on deal in 2019-20 season, allowing them to create two max salary slots.
Deal includes Nets sending two future second-round picks and cash to Charlotte for Howard, who has a $23.8M expiring contract.

Dwight finally gets his wish

Dwight being traded for Mozgov is funny when you realize Kupchak is the Hornets GM

I also don’t think the bust potential is that high. His absolute worst case scenario is probably what, Evan Turner? Ridiculous contract aside that’s still a useful player

Obviously none of us Know how his career will pan out, but he's dominating a league full of grown men as a teenager. For some reason people keep equating him with these other guys like Dragan Bender who had a sample size of 10 minutes per game and footage of them dribbling around chairs.
There are certainly some issues with his game, but I just don't see how he's not considered the #1 prospect.

He should be forced to take Deng for two second rounders

Why would the Hornets do this?

I'm expecting the Suns to mess it up regardless. Can't wait to trade #1, Josh Jackson, and a bunch of future firsts for Dejounte Murray and Kawhi.

Deng should have never been traded to LA.
He still had a few years left of decent play, despite being run into the ground in Chicago.

They're probably about to blow it up. Kemba is likely gone soon.

I don't understand the point in this trade. Why would Charlotte take on more long term dollars?
32.7 over two years versus 23.8 for one year. Doesn't make sense to me to add 16.7 mil in cap next season for only 2 seconds.

Best case would be to get Ayton and Trae Young with 2 picks IMO.
frick we need the Suns to get back to relevance again
