It's already too late, IMO. The Pels will always stink and moving to the Knicks or whatever at 24 may do what Curry did for 3 or 4 years, but to create lifelong fans you need a guy like LeBron to come in and take over the league pretty much day one.

Just my opinion.

The NBA is great to watch and still try and catch a few games a week and as many as I can during the playoffs

I just now chose not to watch the Lakers until Lebron is gone

He’s toxic

Used to watch every game until it became a glorified YMCA pickup. Unwatchable. Dribble dribble, three. Foul. Review. Flop. Rinse and repeat

I will give the Golden State Warriors credit for actually playing team basketball during their little run, but the last team I enjoyed watching before that was Webber's Sacramento teams.

Isolation threes, flopping, travelling, LeBron's type of bully drives with lowered shoulder...just stupid basketball at the pro level is the death of it as a spectator sport.

I still watch a lot of NBA games, but like the NFL, the product has not been as entertaining lately. Maybe it’s just my preferences. I am a bigger fan of good defense than good offense and seeing rules in both sports that are more favorable to offensive players is lame.

And to the NBA specifically, dunks and tough lay ups are way more interesting than three pointers, so that’s another thing that makes me lose interest.

I’ve never really been a fan of the regular season of the NBA. Have always enjoyed the playoffs though but COVID atmospheres may make me enjoy it less this year.

Hadn't watched an NBA game from start to finish in years until the Beal/Tatum play in game.

Used to watch the Pelicans/Hornets every game. Completely lost interest near the end of Gentry and especially after the SVG hire. Just no sense of urgency from that franchise.

I never stopped watching. I didn't watch hardly any regular season games this year. But that's not that out of the ordinary for me. I normally always hop on full time for the playoffs

Was a NBA fan and a huge Laker fan. Was a regular game thread poster on here. Started many a NBA thread on this board, (looking at you James Harden). But I haven’t watched a single game since before the bubble last year and I haven’t posted much about the game since then either.

All the recent political/ SJW stuff turned me completely off and made me lose any interest I had in their game. And to be honest, I haven’t really missed it.

I’ll occasionally scan a NBA thread on here or read a related story on-line, but that thirst for the game is gone. Sometimes I’ll watch some of Inside the NBA if it is on while flipping the channels. Not for highlights but to see Chuck and crew cut up. But the religious viewing of all things NBA is gone.

That could be permanent or temporary. IDK. I think something will eventually switch my interest back on and I’ll start watching again. I just don’t know what that will be though. I can tell you that my favorite team winning the title last year didn’t do it.

I'd rather watch rain drip from my roof than watch a NBA game. I keep hoping the league will shut down again the next time there is civil unrest.
