especially when paired with Davis...

if only we could get a SF worth the shite, and just a little bench support, we could be a 7 or 8 seed in the West....

No... I'm just saying I don't know what's going on with that trade. Stuff happens so it's not a sure thing y'all got him yet.

Hardwood Paroxysm tweeted earlier that some GM's won't deal with Morey at all. Backing out of the deal would change that from "some" to "all."

that would be dumb and doesn't make a lick of sense for the rockets. only one who would say that on here is probably boom

I think we make the playoffs even with a stop gap SF this year. that is unless god hates us again

Being good enough to make the playoffs doesn't cut it in the West. Ask Phoenix. If y'all improve like expected, two very solid teams will miss the playoffs.

This is a win for Houston. Any time a rival gm is unwilling to explore all options to make their team better it benefits Houston. Seems like they're hurting themselves more than Houston.

Agreed, if the team can stay healthy.

Why wouldn't they deal with Morey?

And just him personally or the Rockets front office as a whole?

If dell makes the asik deal the way that has been talked about we will have a pretty solid bench and a very legit starting 5 outside of SF. I know i'm a big homer but that roster is talented enough to make the playoffs in the west.

I don't agree. Trades are supposed to be mutually beneficial. Less options is not good for either party.

Less options benefits the better GM. Which will be morey 90% of the time.

In comparison to the teams blacklisting him. But that means other teams are doing business with all teams which means they have all of their options open.

It would mean, for example, that a team like the Clippers would have an advantage over Houston if they can do business with all other teams whereas Houston can only do business with 20.

Right the other teams benefit. But the gm of the team who isn't dealing with morey doesn't benefit.

He still has an advantage over Morey if, say, 10 teams blacklisted Morey. Because a rival GM who blacklisted Morey can still do business with all other teams except for the Rockets. The Rockets would only be able to do business with about 20 teams.

I'd make a deal with the Devil himself if it meant Eric Gordon not being on the roster next year

I still don't get why other GM's wouldn't deal with Morey. What did he do exactly?
