If the Rockets don't match Parsons, they somehow managed to get all three of older, more expensive and worse.

Does he think this is NBA 2K or something?

The T'Wolves have two options:

1. Trade him now why you can still get a decent package
2. Wait and don't get anything when he walks away after the season

Ouch. Rough off-season when you go from Lebron to Melo to Love to Bosh to Ariza

They may actually do that 2nd option. They weren't that bad last year, maybe they slip into the playoff, who knows.

Except that is an atrocious package

Someone will get desperate eventually and you aren't helping build a super team

That would make the Suns pretty happy. Probably the best move for the Cavs as well, just go after Love and give up nothing.

Nobody is going to trade for him if they can't get a guarantee that he will resign.

Is there an actual way they can do that? Don't they pretty much have to rely on his word?

Correct. But he's not going to want to waste a year somewhere where he won't resign. So if he's happy, he doesn't complain. If he doesn't like the team that offers, he makes a stink about how he won't resign.

In the words of George Costanza, Kevin Love has hand.

Or, since Lebron is there now, wait a year and not give up any of that?

How much can they offer him next season purely as a FA? Don't they need to trade for him?

At least see if GS or BOS will offer something better. This is a top 5 player at 25

I'm pretty sure Dwight always said he was going to become a free agent no matter who got him.

I'll ask again where has Love said he'll only re-sign with Cleveland?

You may be right. Some team may still give you something for a year of Love with a good shot to resign him if you have a good year.

If they trade him to a better situation I don't see him making a stink like swagger said. He may not guarantee to resign but I doubt he'd be upset.

He never said he'd only re-sign with Cleveland, but the fact that his camp has leaked that he's "intrigued" in Cleveland is significant and weakens the T'Wolves position. I'm not giving up Wiggins if I'm Cleveland, not yet at least. Let Minnesota sweat it out.

Not really. I'm intrigued by Cleveland doesn't come close to shutting other teams off.

But Cleveland is sweating it out too because they don't want another team to trade for him while they're offering up their poopoo platter thinking he's in the bag.

Deng would be an interesting fit in Atlanta. They aren't winning any titles or anything, but that would be a good team. I also wouldn't mind seeing him on the Heat.
