You guys are making fun of Minnesota possibly giving up Love for those guys. Why in the world would the Warriors give up Klay Thompson for picks? Did I miss something in this deal?

If the Rockets don't match Parsons, they somehow managed to get all three of older, more expensive and worse.
I'll give him the first and last, but more expensive? Asik and Lin had those poison pill contracts from '12. They were getting P-A-I-D this year. Asik was gone no matter what because he's too expensive for a bench five and Lin never really played up to the last year of the contract.

If ATL gets Deng then they should have a nice squad. As usual they get no pub, but I see no reason they shouldn't be a top 4 team in the East

The Bulls are expected to trade center Greg Smith to Mavericks as early as Monday to help clear salary, sources said.

I think me, you and 3 other dudes in this thread could be a top 4 team in the East this year

I think they have a shot at a top 4 seed even without him. Glad to see he's an option again

well then of those 3, they got the worst two …older and worse

When you're one of the youngest teams in the league, making moves will make you older. And age is just one small piece. LeBron made Cleveland older. I think they're okay with that.

Ariza isn't exactly ancient, as long as our entire starting five is still under 30 I'm not going to sweat "older" too much. He arguably fits the starting lineup better than Parsons. But we should still sign both because losing Parsons would leave us with a bench of what, Casspi, Motiejunas, Daniels?

ESPN sources say Phoenix has tried to force its way into the Luol Deng bidding tonight. Miami has been pressing all day for deal with Deng

I hope Miami gets screwed late. They deserve it.

I know you're joking but:
Cavs
Bulls
Pacers
will be top 3 in some fashion and all pretty damn good.
Washington needs to replace ariza but a core of Wall/Beal/Nene/Gortat is pretty good.
Heat will be decent/good with Bosh/Wade/Deng(if he signs) and whomever else.
ATL as mentioned is a quality team.
Same goes for the raptors.
Hornets(sounds weird) will be no pushovers as shown last year.
Bos/Nyk/Bkn are a bit foggy.

I was talking about Cuban.

This is the Greg Smith of the Kevin Martin days?

Otto Porter, their lottery pick at SF last year, looked very good today in Summer league fwiw

If they can sign Deng they are still pretty dangerous. Spo's a great coach. While mocked as reasons for LeBron to stay in Miami, McRoberts and Granger are both very good pieces. I wouldn't be surprised the reason we haven't seen Wade or Haslem sign their deals is because they are giving Riley more time to work.
