Because his last agent probably told him to take the GS deal last year and cash in this free agency.
Whoops!

It's pitiful how truly inept he is

I thought we laughed at PER, but now we are using PER?
PER doesn’t matter when talking about Austin Rivers 7.7 PER last season because he was clearly too busy admiring HardWn to make shots, b.
But it definitely matters when talking about Millers huge 43 minute sample size back in 2014.

I have to wonder if teams are still holding a grudge against Boogie after the shenanigans he pulled last year. Yes, he has his flaws but he put up 16 and 8 with pretty good efficiency in limited minutes last year. His advanced stats were pretty good as well so it’s not like he was putting up empty numbers. I find it hard to believe that there isn’t a market out there for him when the likes of Terry Rozier is getting $60 million.

There have always been several teams who wouldn’t take boogie if he was free. If you are a young team you def don’t want him anywhere around.

As we reported on Twitter (@flasportsbuzz), the Heat has reached out to the Washington Wizards about Bradley Beal and there is sentiment internally to taking on the last four years and $172 million of John Wall’s deal to facilitate a trade, according to someone with direct knowledge. But there is no indication that Washington would be willing to do that, even with Wall out for much or all of next season with a ruptured left Achilles’ tendon. Beal has said that the Wizards have assured him he won’t be traded. Even if Washington agreed to such a scenario, Miami - with its hard cap situation -would need to send out salaries comparable to the combined $65 million that Wall and Beal would make next season. That’s possible, but a challenge. Beal has two seasons remaining on his contract.

Yeah he's the baby of the group and needs daddy teammates to keep him in line. He has a place in the NBA but his attitude has limited his options a lot.

I think his reputation is trash around the league and he looked horrible in the finals.
He also had another significant injury to the same leg shortly after returning.
He'll be in the league next year, but the playoffs killed him.
His plan was to rehab, hang back as the 4th option and come back and shine in the playoffs en route to a championship and a 8/9 figure payday at the end.
Instead he came back, got injured again, looked like dog shite for most of the finals, didn't win a championship, and now is hoping for a vet minimum / MLE deal somewhere.
Ouch.

Is John Wall the last contract you would want to take on in the entire league?
Has to be the top or near the top.

At least Miami is trying to make additional moves I guess. No one knew wtf they were doing by acquiring Butler & surrounding him with B & C team players
Still. That's a tonnnnn of cheese
