The warriors will be in the bottom half of the league on defense, easily.
No they won't.

but I think it's a stretch to call D'Lo an all-star lock going forward.
The east all-stars were EXTREMELY weak this past season.

Once you start getting old, you grab a big long term guaranteed contract. It’s after that contract you start taking vet mins and ring chase

Have you seen some of the contracts today? Those happen every year.

Okay. They were 11th this past season and then lost KD, Igoudala, and Klay wont play, but sure.

New York Knicks: all your power forwards are belong to us

@wojespn Free agent Bobby Portis has agreed to a two-year, $31M deal with the Knicks, agent Mark Bartelstein tells ESPN.

Well they were only 13th defensively this year and are losing 3 of the 4 best defenders....

Especially with the FA class next season. I think him and AD are the only all star caliber players who are up for new contracts.

Portis is an interesting player, good stretch guy. May be more like a 6th man?
Not sure how Randle, Portis, and Robinson will fit.

Good thing Green won't be "surrounded by minus defenders" then.

Knicks determined to overpay every big man but Boogie.

Shots fired. Damn

Think of all the ways D'Angelo Russell being an undeserving injury replacement to the All-Star game in a very shallow conference changed NBA history. Meaningless optics had a huge effect on his perception.
Shots fired. Damn

Hes not wrong.
It's still a huge salvage for GSW given what the state of their season was going to be.

Going into this upcoming season the warriors look more like a team that will look to outscore their opponents on account of their lack of defensive personnel on the squad. Both DLo and steph are good 3pt shooters, but they're both minus defenders. Dlo had his best defensive season this past year but he was still a minus defender. Steph probably wont improve defensively for the rest of his career.
You’re lookin g way too much into this. Dame and CJ were “bad” defenders until they weren’t (in Dames case he was notoriously awful at fighting screens). To quote Boom, it’s a make or miss league bubba. Come playoffs they’ll be in trouble but regular season they’re going to win games. Steph is prob the best off ball player in the league. When Klay comes back, there’s another guy. DLo is going to have big numbers in this system.
Remember when James Harden, Lou Will, Eric Gordon, and Ryno got into the second round of the West? This warriors team is a more talented version of that Rox team at full health (assuming Klay can be at least 80% by post ASB next year).

this is one of those things you would think people wouldnt argue against, yet earlier in this thread there was people saying that Russell’s all star appearance was the equivalent to making the all star team coming out the west.
